The Mississippi State Flag with the Confederate emblem is decommissioned outside the State Capitol. The Mississippi Color Guard folded the flags from the Capitol and presented them to Philip Gunn speaker of the house and Delbert Hosemann Lt. Governor and Katie Blount Director MSDAH MS Dept of Archived and History. They then drove the flags to the 2 Mississippi Museums and gave them to Judge Ruben Anderson President of the MS Dept. of Archives and History board , who then gave the to Pamela Junior- Director of the 2 MS Museums. The Museum will build an exhibit for the 3 flags that flew over the Capitol.After 126 years the State flag with the Confederate emblem is finally down and progress had been made in Mississippi.Jackson, Mississippi, U.S., July 1, 2020.
