7/25/2020 On the anniversary of President Lyndon Johnson signing the Voting Rights Act, Congressman John Lewis's casket is pulled by a horse drawn carriage and lead by the Honor Guard across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma for the L=last time. The casket is headed to the State Capitol where he will lay in state. rMourners lined up to pay their last respects at the Historic Brown A.M.E. Chapel Church after a private ceremony their was a public viewing with an open casket for the last time.
